This project focuses on the repair of the fuel hydrant pipeline from HP07 to HP09 at Apron A of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake. The scope of work includes cutting and demolishing the existing concrete pavement, excavation, defect/leak detection, pipe repair, and pipe laying. Following these procedures, the pipeline will undergo rigorous testing to ensure its integrity, and backfilling and concreting will be performed to restore the work area to its original condition.

The repair work is crucial to maintaining the safety and operational efficiency of the fuel delivery system at BIA. The project is being executed by Ceylon Petroleum Corporation in 2023, with careful adherence to safety and environmental standards to minimize disruptions to airport operations.
